The Centre for Ageing Better, a charity funded by an endowment from UK National Lottery Community Fund, recently published the report “The state of ageing in 2019”.
The report gives a snapshot of ageing today and in the future, focusing on the areas known to make a difference to people’s later lives.
Authors remark that “the fact that we are living longer is a great achievement. But making the most of these extra years requires fundamental changes across society. Without a radical rethink from the government, businesses and charities, more people risk missing out on a good later life. There is much to gain if we take action now, but also much to lose if we fail.”
The Centre for Ageing Better is working to create a society where everyone enjoys a good later life.
